School Dental Care Service
School Dental Care Service
The School Dental Care Service is a dental care programme provided by the Department of Health for all primary school students in Hong Kong. It provides basic dental treatment to students and promotes good oral health care habits for the prevention of dental diseases.
Joining the service
Students of participating schools can enrol through their schools at the beginning of new school year. Parents should complete the application form and return it to school with a nominal fee. Students of non-participating schools can join the service individually. Parents can contact the school dental clinic of their choice for enrolment.
In special circumstances, if your child has reached the primary school level and has not yet joined the SDCS through the above methods, please contact our school dental clinics for enquiry.
Service scheme
Students enrolled in the scheme can enjoy one year of dental care commencing from 1 November of the current year to 31 October of the following year. They will be arranged to attend a school dental clinic for oral examination and treatment. Further appointments will be given to those requiring follow-up.
