A dental bridge is a fixed prosthesis which is not removable
You brush it as you would your own teeth
However, toothbrushing alone is not adequate
because there is a thin space between the bridge and the gums
You need to clean it with superfloss
If the thin space is not cleaned properly
then the plaque bacteria will accumulate underneath the bridge
The gums will become inflamed
leading to bad breath and periodontal disease
Super floss is different from ordinary floss
It is composed of a stiff part
a fluffy part and a floss part
First, thread the stiff part through the space between the bridge and the teeth
then pull the fluffy part over to clean
Wrap the fluffy part against the adjacent tooth surface on one side of the bridge
Wipe it up and down to clean the surface
Then slide the fluffy part across the under surface of the bridge
to clean for two to three times
After that
wrap the fluffy part against the adjacent tooth surface on the other side of the bridge
Wipe it up and down to clean
Then, pull out the super floss slowly
Use the floss part
to remove the dental plaque on the rest of the adjacent tooth surfaces
